Tip of the Week:

With an eclipse season upon us, there is additional energy packed into this already exciting, if dramatic, time. There is quite a lot of background detail to an eclipse and “no two eclipses are quite the same!” The effect of an eclipse generally adds both an extra charge and, in the case of a Lunar Eclipse, it has the effect of accelerating time, as it were. In other words, it has the effect of making the future seem to come forward more quickly. A Solar Eclipse can be seen as a supercharged New Moon seed. Noticeable change usually comes in its wake in accordance to the themes that it represents. The effect of eclipses is also said to last until the next eclipse, unless it (they) trigger sensitive points in a ‘persons’ chart (a person is any legal entity which includes countries, cities, companies and other organizations) in which case the change is irrevocable and therefore enduring. The first is a Lunar Eclipse which took place on June 26th at 4 Capricorn 46. Of course, the Moon was full at the time. This Lunar Eclipse is extra packed as well because it is conjunct Pluto implying deep changes at official levels! The Solar Eclipse will occur on July 11, the day of the New Moon in Cancer and occurs at 19 Cancer 24. Having planets at or a degree or two either side of the eclipse degree suggests that the person in question will be strongly affected according to the theme of the planet ‘triggered’. Generally, an eclipse reflects the themes of the signs involved, in this case Cancer and Capricorn, and the specific area of life according to the ‘house’ it occurs in. This week’s Horoscope will bring some hints of insight to the themes and areas that will be affected for each sign by last Week’s Lunar Eclipse and next week’s Solar Eclipse. I will also bring more specific attention to the Solar Eclipse in the July 9 Horoscope.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

The eclipse season is producing changes in the areas of career, social life, and public status and in your home, family and sense of security. These changes are probably already ‘putting you to work’. You may be dealing with a lot of emotion and attachment linked to these changes making it difficult to see things clearly. A leap of faith is likely, but it can be an informed one.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)

Habitual beliefs and perceptions are undergoing shifts and changes due to these eclipses. Making a more serious commitment to your practical future is also implied. Investments of time, energy, focus and money to achieve your goals are likely. Education or training of some sort beginning as early as August will coincide with new realizations, knowledge and skills.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)

Financial interests, concerns and considerations will be stimulated by this eclipse season. By extension, this may well include your place and role in the world – your status. Career and profession may be a central theme as well. Finding your place, where you feel you fit or belong, may be at issue. Either way, take new initiatives to meet new people and make new friends.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)

The quality of your awareness, expression and of your relationships, both personal and professional will all come into sharper focus due to the current lunar and solar eclipses. Some big changes are brewing in your career and/or public life. These may stir your fears and challenge your sense of security so you may have to make extra efforts to overcome distressing reactions. Trust, accept and cooperate with the flow of change.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)

Paying closer attention to the quality of your health is a central theme linked to the eclipses. Looking to your life style in general and to your habitual choice patterns will help. Aim to build upon a more solid foundation by a series of small adjustments in your diet, exercise routine and usual patterns. Fresh food, more activity and less passivity are examples.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)

Your creative powers and sense of authority are changing along with the eclipse season. At best, you will feel inspired to nurture more inventiveness. You may also meet new people and make new friends. Expect many new realizations to begin pouring in. Cooperate by accepting them into your entire being. Aim to do what you feel is true verses right.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)

Your home, family, community and career, reputation and status quo all stand to undergo accelerated changes due to the current eclipse cycle. There is strong evidence that you will feel stronger soon, but perhaps not before having to make a few important hurdles. Inner work to clear doubts, procrastination, negative habits and/or cynicism may be necessary for success.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

Changes in your habitual perceptions and inherited beliefs are set to be activated by the eclipse pair. We seldom see things ‘as they are’ because how we see is largely determined by ‘who and how we are’. Ideally, you are ready and willing to see yourself and the world and in the world in new ways. Practice open mindedness and ask sincere questions.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

Reassessing the value and worth of your attitude and current position on things is the provocation of this eclipse season. The focus may well connect with your financial situation. Gaining new awareness and knowledge may be in order. These stand to produce measurable changes in your self-concept and existing modes of self-expression.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

The quality of the relationship with yourself and others is up for review and possibly change as well this eclipse season. You may feel more assertive than usual, even aggressive. You are in the mood to push. The big question is: are you pushing yourself or others? Your power potential is on the rise; take a lead worthy of emulation.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)

The eclipse pair stands to activate some very practical changes in your world. Loosening the grip of limiting conscious and subconscious beliefs and the daily thoughts and behaviour patterns that stem from them may be required for success. Variety and diversification of your thoughts, actions and expression of your communications and skills is ideal. Be willing to gain more knowledge as well.

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

Desires for a brighter vision of the future are being activated by this eclipse cycle. Generating a series of creative ideas to achieve new levels of success is likely. These will accompany some deep and measurable changes in you, your lifestyle in general and scope of relationships. Working smarter to afford more play time may be on your mind.
