Holy Flaming X-boxs!

Yeah, that’s right this is all about the X-Box 360. During the first few months of it’s launch there were actually consoles that burst into flames! Why is that you ask, because despite what the owners of said ‘flaming death traps’ say, it’s not a flaw in the design.
As we march forward in the line of gaming innovations, things get more complex and therefore produce heat. This heat is countered by internal cooling fans that should keep things from reaching the, and this is the technical term, ‘going Kerblooie’. However sometimes either the fan is over worked or the system is placed somewhere that does allow it to work properly.
In response to the accidents I’ll turn your attention to the owners manual that comes with every system. It says to allow your system to preform optimally, take frequent breaks and never leave the console on overnight. Some folks read that and assume it says, “You don’t need breaks, leave the game on pause all night, it’s okay.”
The technicians heard about this and in an act of sheer brilliance, designed an added cooling fan that you can attach to the back of your console to aid the cooling fans inside just in case you would like to keep your system for something other than roasting marshmellows. I personally bought one for each system I own and have yet to regret it, yeah it makes the system look a bit funny, but I’ll take that over fire any day.
So in plain english, never leave the system on all night. Find a save point or something and turn it off. If you need it, buy the cooling fans and use those. Better to have a goofy looking system than be explaining on the news that your house burnt down because you didn’t want to turn off Mario while you slept.
