The Kelowna Community Theatre is in the Cultural District in the heart of beautiful downtown Kelowna in British Columbia's breath taking Okanagan Valley. Located in the interior of the province and away from the rain of the coast and the cold of the rest of the country, surrounded by orchards and wineries, Kelowna offers all the big city amenities with a small town charm and sensibility. Across the street from 100 mile long Okanagan lake, steps to the grand Okanagan resort and located in Kelowna's vibrant cultural district the theatre is a venue not to be missed.

Located in beautiful Kelowna, BC the Rotary Centre for the Arts is a multi-purpose venue providing enjoyment of a wide array of activities including special events, theatre, visual art, music, festivals and more.

It is our mission to produce fun, accessible (and sometimes interactive) productions that people from all walks of life can appreciate. We offer both experienced and inexperienced artists the opportunity to work with a theatre company that promotes high production values, strong work ethics and creative freedom.

Founded in 1977 by Joan Panton, Sunshine is in its 31st season, having started as a summer theatre doing such shows as Boeing-Boeing and Wait Until Dark.
A significant development was the opening of the Mary Irwin Theatre in the Rotary Centre for the Arts in 2002. This 326-seat house is now the primary performance venue for Sunshine Theatre.

Since our inception in 1949, our mission has been to entertain, inform and educate by creating opportunities for community participation in enriching theatrical experiences.
