Kelowna has a vast array of entertainment options; theaters, news, movies, celebrations, festivals, art galleries, music, museums, parks, heritage sites, casinos, concerts, book stores, blogs, education, film and video, recording studios, photographers, musicians, body art, dance all types of print/electronic/web based media and much more beckon to those of all ages.

The vision for cultural development in Kelowna began to take shape back in the early 70´s when an ad hoc committee formed to study the feasibility of developing a “Cultural Arts Centre” in Kelowna. Eventually it developed into the Kelowna Cultural District.
