Welcome to the British Columbia Centre of Excellence for Women's Health. Since 1996, we have been a centre of innovation and creativity in the effort to ensure that health and wellness for women is a consideration for policy makers and clinicians. We promote a women-centred approach to the health of girls and women.

The mission of the BC Coalition of Women's Centres is to seek an end to the violence, poverty and other human rights abuses experienced by women in British Columbia, by supporting and promoting both independent and coordinated social change action among women's centres and other equity-seeking organizations.

The goal of our new Bridges for Women Online pilot project is to develop and test an online bridging program to help women abuse survivors in small towns and isolated communities throughout BC to move toward employment and self-sufficiency.

Founded in 1919, The Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW), is a voluntary, non-profit, self-funded bilingual organization of over 10,000 women university graduates. CFUW/FCFDU members are active in public affairs, working to raise the social, economic and legal status of women, as well as to improve education, the environment, peace, justice and human rights.

The Centre promotes the development of community-centred, action research on violence against women and children. The Centre's role is to facilitate the cooperation of individuals, groups and institutions representing the diversity of the community to pursue research questions and training opportunities to understand and prevent abuse.

CONNECT is a rapidly expanding businesswomen's networking and referral group located in Kelowna, British Columbia, offering exclusivity to one representative from each type of business.
Membership in CONNECT offers the opportunity to each member to receive referrals from other members, to promote their business through our "businesscard box" and to promote their business through CONNECT promotional events.

JCI Okanagan (formerly Okanagan Jaycees/Okanagan Junior Chamber) is an all female Kelowna-based Chapter of JCI Canada which is a member of Junior Chamber International (JCI). JCI is an international organization dedicated to the personal and professional development of its members through involvement in the community. We focus on leadership development through managing projects, internal training, and fellowship.
JCI Okanagan is Kelowna's premier women's leadership group. Membership is open to women between the ages of 18 and 39 years who would like the opportunity to develop new skills and reach their greatest potential.

The Central Okanagan Emergency Shelter Society values the basic humanright to freedom from physical, emotional and sexual abuse and provides:sanctuary, advocacy, support and self development opportunities for women and children during and after crisis.

The purpose of the Women's Resource Centre is to improve the status of women by acting as a resource and referral centre. From a feminist perspective, we create awareness of and respond to women's issues by advocating women's equality.

The Native Women's Association of Canada (NWAC) is founded on the collective goal to enhance, promote, and foster the social, economic, cultural and political well-being of First Nations and Métis women within First Nation, Métis and Canadian societies.

Weekend retreats offer you a supportive, confidential and non-judgmental environment where women and men can express, release and reconcile painful post-abortive emotions to begin the process of restoration, renewal and healing.

The initial concepts of the Society of Hope began in the late 1980's. A number of Christians in the Central Okanagan saw the growing need to provide practical help and support for single parent families; particularly in the area of providing affordable housing. Since its inception in 1989, the Society has grown to become the largest non-profit housing provider in the Interior of British Columbia.
