Sagittarius is symbolic of the big picture. This includes the higher mind. Jupiter is the ruling planet and it is about expansiveness, risk and vision. In the spirit of Sagittarius, let’s expand our scope. On December 21, 2012 a 5125 year cycle (1/5 of a 25,625 year Precessional Cycle) ends, according to Mayan Cosmology. (Both Egypt and Sumer trace their origins to that 5125 years ago!) From the Vedic tradition, we are just recently out of the Kali Yuga or Iron Age (about 2000 years in length) and the Bronze Age (about 4000 years) has begun. From the standpoint of dividing the Precessional Cycle in 12 equal divisions, the Age of Aquarius has dawned (1992-3). The World Wide Web is giving rise to a global village. The world population is rapidly approaching 7 billion, perhaps a couple of years to go. Most countries in the world are in deep debt to banks, some in the trillions. Large conglomerates and corporations holding multi-national status are growing daily. Corruption is rampant. 1945 + 65 = 2010 – the first big wave of baby boomers has hit the shores in the Western world. BC premier Gordon Campbell has resigned. The spotlight on President Obama has dimmed. Bill 51, then 52, then C6 have morphed into C36 in its apparent claim to ‘protect consumers’. Sagittarius is also symbolic of faith and optimism….

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)
Your enthusiasm is high and your passions are deep. Anticipate that you desires will fuel your actions this week in a big way. In the big picture, new levels of power are rising in your world. Your main task is to be committed. Wisdom says, ‘nurture a long-term vision’. Intuitions and imaginations welling within are leading you to innovate. If this is not apparent, balance your chakras!

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)
Merging your skills, talents and resources with those of others continues. Perhaps you simply want from others what you do not have. Hiring for skills, requesting a loan, praying for guidance are all possibilities. You are not interested in superficial answers or exchanges of energy. Your willingness to make changes in your approach and attitude is ideal and may be necessary for greater success.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)
Dreams and visions of a healthier and happier future are running through your mind. Some form of spiritual healing may be required to gain a clear picture or to feel the faith. Be willing to let go of how things once were and move on. The time has come to nurture some new dreams. Be willing to give fully and intend to gather the tools you need to succeed. Affirm your worth and work your magic.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)
Health and healing is at the core of all religions. Basic spirituality includes self-nurture. This is an important theme now. Sometimes the tried and true no longer works or satisfies. The time has come to explore new ways. A change of attitude or location or employment or relationships or lifestyle in general is probably needed. Face fears and clear blocks preventing fulfillment in the love and passion department.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)
Riding a creative wave is the call now. Your higher mind is being activated making you also want to soar to greater heights. A call to explore new territory has been sounded. If your imagination is not activated, make an effort to stimulate the possibilities. Cleaning and making repairs close to home with aims to beautify could do the trick. Create a space to nurture your creations.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)
Some journeys lead further away than others and some go deeper. This is a good time of the year to go within. For you that might simply means paying closer attention to home and family. Quality time in your workshop or studio could match this energy pattern. Perhaps a good book will take where you need to go. An adventure on the wings of imagination is summoning you to explore.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)
You are in the mood to cover a lot of bases now. Amidst outer errands and enjoying social opportunities, you may also want to get your affairs in order. Desires to achieve more now and in the New Year are simmering within. Getting clear with your plans has a decidedly practical tone. You are ready for something new. The seeds of this were already sewn in spring and summer. Make key contacts now.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)
In addition to dreaming new dreams and making new plans, you may also feel the need to establish new foundations. This may have to do with how and perhaps where you live. Peeling away old layers should reveal fresh possibilities. Call it ‘getting out of your own way’. Trust what was, accept what is, do the inner work and make all outer necessary preparations to take some leaps of faith.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)
Exploring new territory continues as a central them. This may well include other places, yet it could also imply new hobbies. We all have hidden talents. Perhaps it is new people you are meeting that are a source of excitement. Ideally you are at least beginning to get healthier. Review the quality of your lifestyle, choice of friends or your diet. Too much sweet, starch or spirit may require reconsideration.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)
Doing what you must and then taking some much needed time out in between is the call now. Just doing your own thing verses attending to your usual duties will prove satisfying. If you could find yourself somewhere else and warm, you might count yourself among the more fortunate. Rest and retreat now and affirm the value of leisure. At least pace yourself and slow down enough to hear your soul whispers.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)
The time has come to create a new balance in your life. Adjustments in your usual rhythms, routine, attitude and approach may be necessary. Get ready to learn some new skills and perhaps gather new tools. Your social circle is set to expand, but you are still in the preliminary stages. Affirm your power potential and call upon all your inner reserves and resources; the flow is about to accelerate!

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)
You have ascended to the next plateau. In order to rise to the next one yet, you may have to undergo some bigger changes still. These likely include more discipline. You may also have to take more risks. At deeper levels, it may be limiting beliefs and self-concepts that are holding you back. This is a good time to widen your scope. Looking back, what has worked and what has not? Looking forward, outline a clearer vision of what you want to achieve.

With Winter Solstice 2010 behind us now and a new solar cycle underway amidst a powerful eclipse season, 2010 is certainly going out and the New Year is coming in with some spark and sizzle. 2011 will be very pivotal and recent events are setting the stage for a momentous year. Breakthrough is the big hope, but we may first have to undergo various forms of breakdown. This natural process is not the sort that inspires dancing in the street. Accepting the inherent wisdom in the cyclic process, we can proceed with faith. That Bill C-36 which morphed several times has now quietly and swiftly passed rather undemocratically is a prime example. That similar Bills in Europe, the U.S. and elsewhere have also recently passed is a clear indication that multi-national, corporate pressure is eroding national powers and potentially rights and freedoms. This is ever the big concern and the source of many movies woven with tragic future themes. Democracy can only occur with responsible awareness and participation. We can also be spiritually conscious and socially and scientifically too. When we activate a spiritual, scientific, economic and political awareness we contribute to freedom and justice. With our feet on the ground and our connection with source held in balance, we are able to co-create a better world where the earthly and the heavenly share a more intimate relationship. Blessings of the Season and for 2011!

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)
The momentum has shifted into high gear in your public and/or professional life. A growing commitment to long term goals is likely. Yet, getting a clear focus on how to plan and proceed may not be so easy just now. T’is the season to take a break and be more festive, so don’t fight it. Your progressive momentum will continue strong well into January so rejoice now and work later.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)
A period of training and attaining new knowledge and skills remains active. You feel the urge to push more than usual. Increasing your social connections is also a central theme. You want more passion and excitement and don’t want to provide reasons why. You want answers, but may not be so inclined to offer a lot in return. This may be true in your close personal relationships as well.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)
This is a good time to dissolve old contracts and make new ones. Whether you do this literally or figuratively, or both, depends on you. New resolutions and intentions for the New Year linked to feeling strong and exercising more personal power is a good idea. For now, aim to share what you think and feel honestly and avoid simply saying what you think others might like to hear.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)
A lot is shaking on relationship fronts now. Given the time of the year, it comes as no surprise. Thoughts about what is true and fair and ethical may be on your mind. Sharing these with others feels natural; you can hardly contain yourself anyway. You want to be more aware and you would like others to be so as well. If you are on a course you do not like, your exit window will close soon so decide.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)
A process of refinement, healing and repair is destined now. How can this best apply to you? Perhaps it is literally your health or that of your lifestyle or your home or with family members or your business or all of the above. Yet, you may find it hard to concentrate and may otherwise scatter your focus. Aim to complete tasks and pay attention to what is rather than what could be.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)
Some cycles are more active and dynamic than others, like now for you. Reviews of the past in one manner or another are featured. Where these touch upon your own history, you could lose perspective as old emotions flood your mind. This fog period will begin to clear before the official New Year yet it may take the better part of January before you feel fully present in the now again.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)
A lot is shaking close to home. Setting a clear course amidst the activity may be a challenge. Obtaining new appliances or other possessions is likely and implies some measure of renovation or furniture moving to accommodate them. Meanwhile, healing bonds with friends or severing some altogether continues and will for some months yet. For now acknowledge your home as your haven.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)
A restless cycle continues. Hopefully, you have a healthy outlet. The grip of prior interests is slipping daily and you may wonder if there will be anything of the old you left. Possibly not much…. A change of lifestyle is simmering yet will only become really evident in late winter. The good news is you don’t have to be anybody or anything other that who you feel you are now.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)
If the returns coming in these days are positive, you can be sure you have been doing your homework. Otherwise, you may have some catching up to do. Either way, your focus is strong in a way it has not been before. Maintaining a steady focus of effort to support your ambitions is on your mind. At best, you are experiencing a lot of love coming from others. Be willing to receive.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)
You are on a roll now. A strong determination to push through and beyond is rising. You may also have a lot to do behind the scenes in terms of organization and communications. You may also sense some mental confusion getting in the way of your plans and ambitions. Avoid trying to be understood at this time. Rather be understanding of yourself and others. Allow for dreamtime but don’t get lost in it.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)
A big wave of energy and activity will subside for a while now. This is your opportunity to rest and dream before the New Year sweeps you into its dynamic momentum. You may still want to acquire and/or refine certain skills and sharpen your tools. Downtime is perfect for making sure that all your equipment is working and where you easily locate it. Trust the flow and recharge.

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)
Sometimes we get the attention we need, sometimes what we want and sometimes both. Knowing what we truly need is another story. Dealing with feelings of insecurity in your public and professional life may be lingering but won’t last so don’t yield to these. Jealousies in love relationships may also be at issue these days. Be willing to make or allow for needed changes.

Tip of the Week:
Just as is true in many disciplines such as law, medicine, and science and so on, there are many branches of Astrology. Unless a person investigates some of the deeper reaches of Astrology, they may not be aware of just how diverse it is. Some Astrologers work with the Stock Market, some with weather and geophysical events like earthquakes and their timing. Then there is medical Astrology which itself covers a vast scope, especially because Astrology is a holistic science and it recognizes the close links between a person’s body, mind, emotions and soul. The soul aspect concerns karmic patterns inherited from past lives. And by the way, thoughts and emotions produce chemistry in the body too and due to the correspondence between the respective ‘bodies’ – physical, mental, emotional and etheric (spiritual), we are less reliant on drugs than we may realize, especially in as much as we can change our thoughts, emotional patterns, diet, environment, social circle, close relationships and so on. In this respect Astrology can prove to be a very effective healing tool as it helps people to be more aware of themselves and thereby contribute to bringing their respective bodies into closer alignment – an ancient key to healing. This healing intention crosses over into another branch called Evolutionary Astrology. Beyond prediction, Astrology is about awareness of our nature and character and it is very effective in helping people to live more consciously for the sake of health and fulfillment of their destiny.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)
Many thoughts roaming in your mind adventurously exploring both the deep and wide are likely now. Practical concerns mixed with spiritual interests and questions about the future are vying for your attention. To whom and what do you feel committed? Some letting go of what were once important relationships and/or deeply ingrained belief patterns are featured. A big time indeed!

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)
Joint ventures, mergers and other projects where shared responsibility is implied are on your mind. A busy time of communications, meetings and perhaps especially research and investigation is on your list. Your sights are set on the future and you want to expand somehow. Getting training and acquiring of skills replacing old methods and approaches is part of your commitment. Go big or…!

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)
Love is in the air and you are in the mood to catch it. Yet, as with many things there is some fine print. It is about some healing that you are meant to do in the love department. It has to do with your values and priorities. Meanwhile, you are gearing up to take some bold moves that will determine your relationship status well into the future. Clarify your vision about what you truly want and need.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)
A good deal of interactions with others, leaning to the more serious side of things, is keeping you busy these days. In certain respects you feel complete and are ready to let go and move on once and for all. Managing your time and energy is a core feature of your resolve. What and who you believe in and/or not are in there as well. The push to get clearer on your dreams, goals and duties is increasing.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)
Some big waves of creative inspiration are rolling in now. Turning these into practical actions will soon follow. Your willingness to learn is important for future prospects. This includes new knowledge and hands on experience. Is your vision clear? Do you know what you want to achieve in the future and how long it might take? Clarify your vision, make plans, set goals, outline dates, get going and have fun.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)
You are in the mood to hover close to home now. Tending to repairs and possibly even some renovations there is likely for the next little while. Bringing closure to certain longstanding relationships, personal, business and otherwise is in the mix. This will be followed by new interests and prospects, all as part of an important foundation-building process that is already underway.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)
You have entered an extra busy cycle. Errands, communications, networking, gathering facts and knowledge are all featured. In some respects, these are preludes to an important new chapter in your life that will really launch around February 2011. Fortunately, your energy levels and enthusiasm stands to be running high so follow through now and make the most of it.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)
This stands to be an interesting time in your life – a period of transition. You will need all the confidence you can muster to succeed. Securing a new niche somehow is probable. To do so, you will have to deliberately break free of existing patterns and perhaps certain relationships altogether. Denials, delusions, procrastinations and doubts are examples of what must give way to the new day.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)
You are in the mood to take some bold initiatives. These have probably been brewing for at least a few weeks. Returns for past efforts are rolling in and the results may be mixed, unless you have been extra diligent over the past few years. Even so, you are concentrating to establish a new foundation that reveals both a refined and simple approach. Ironically, this feat stands to be bigger than it seems so be willing to give fully to the process.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)
The time has come to do some much needed work behind the scenes. Call it administration tasks. Organizing your communications and public relations outreach may feel extra important. You may feel that you are challenged to face one fear after another these days and this requires discipline and focus. This trend will continue for some time yet, so pace yourself. If you can afford some retreat time, take it now!

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)
The time has come to push through any and all blocks and barriers on your path. Some of these may be external, some internal. Either way, you are ready to negotiate some new deals. Your resolve stands to be extra strong and may even prove to take you and others by surprise. You will soon be gathering new tools and/or reassign all your resources. Start with clear goals to manage your time better.

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)
A dynamic and passionate, yet sober and purposeful cycle has begun for you. Some important changes will come about in the wake of this time before the New Year begins. Bringing closure to what stands to be certain longstanding relationships and/or contracts followed by new agreements is likely. Your sights are set on new territory and perhaps as well on rising to the next level of success.

Tip of the Week:
The world is changing. What once was will no longer be. A new order is rising. Some refer to it as a ‘new world order’. Many fear this. Given our technological advancements, what else might we expect? Can we afford for nation to rise against nation. Religions often want to span the world, yet do not want this to occur politically. Such is the nature of division in the mind. Scorpio is symbolically linked to such mental divisions and/or fragmentations; yet it is also concerned with the healing processes associated with removing blocks and melding divisions. Scorpio is both the sign of the ‘melting pot’ and represents the equally fierce protection of one’s sense of originality and individuality. The new order will be challenged to honour this individuality and also heal the divisions and fragmentations and dysfunctions inherited from both our bio-genetic lineage and that of one’s respective societal background. In this respect, many of the same old dramas will continue. In deeper respects, the notion of evolution will again be given to the soul of individuals and entire groups of people and not merely to bio-genetics. Both science and religion will be challenged to acknowledge this. After all, adaptation contains within it a magic that transcends the mere notion of survival – it reveal an inner intelligence beyond instinct and rules. Change is the law and it occurs on many levels simultaneously all the time, but some turns are bigger and sharper than other, like our current era.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)
The shift from Scorpio may prove to activate you at deep levels. The light of the full moon could stimulate an awakening to or stimulation of your spiritual beliefs and convictions. You may even find yourself passionately asserting your position, taking yourself and others by surprise. A deepening of desires will accompany this transit, prompting you to realize even more of your power potential.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)
Exchanges of thoughts, ideas and plans with others will become evident under the light of the moon. Your ambitions are running high and your focus will be zeroed in on the practical. Clear realizations that you cannot achieve what you want on your own; you will seek to merge your energies and talents with those of others. The extra good news is that you stand to learn and earn more!

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)
Relationship interests and aspirations will accelerate along with the waxing moon. These may well lean to the romantic, yet you are also extra interested in the spiritual side of things somehow. Letting go of old security attachments and/or domestic roles are central themes. Your sights are set on the future more than usual. You may be aware of the spiritual and healing needs of the larger collective and want to do make extra efforts to help.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)
Your ambition and drive is on an upward swing. You are ready and willing to take new risks. This may well include investments. Big changes are brewing in your public and professional life but these may only come to fruition in the New Year, perhaps not until mid spring. For now, make sincere efforts to acknowledge, face and overcome lingering fears where new initiatives are required.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)
You are coming around an extra creative curve on your road. This turn stands to produce many spiritual insights. New levels of confidence are also likely and you are wise to take deliberate action. These efforts will include others so be on the look out for opportunities to engage with key players. Be careful that your ambitions do not exceed your integrity and sense of fair play.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)
A busy cycle full of errands and communications will enter into a quieter stage once the moon begins to wane. You may still want to get things done close to home, yet with less external business. Taking time to strengthen your overall foundation on both material and spiritual fronts is likely. This may well include quality time interactions, philosophical and spiritual exchanges with others. Your openness to new perceptions will bring rewards.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)
New adventures are brewing. The shift may take several months to materialize yet your sights are set. In the short term, this includes communications and networking. You may feel challenged to proceed with confidence, but it is the best way to go after all. Your willingness to enter new territory both literally and figuratively is important. New creations always begin with fresh ideas!

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)
You may find yourself in foreign territory these days. Your ambitions are high and visions of possibility are active, yet indecision and questions about timing may be confusing. Your willingness to let go of previous dreams, ideals and self-concepts may be necessary for you to open more fully to new possibilities. Be willing to see yourself and the world and in the world in new ways.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)
You will ride out of the curl in the wave this week. Yet, there is reason to believe you are just getting warm with the new game you are playing right now. Returns for past efforts are rolling in and the bag may be mixed. Securing a more reliable foundation is on your mind. This has already directed you into new territory and this trend will continue. To feel extra secure, keep your ambitions humble and realistic, if you dare!

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)
Sometimes we are called to enter boldly into the unknown. This stands to be true for you now. The full light of the moon is shedding light on realities you may not have considered. The good news is that these may well produce many new and exciting perceptions and realizations. Rubbing elbows with others with influence, affluence and talents that compliment your own is likely if you focus and pray for it.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)
The full light of the moon will shed light on hidden talents and new possibilities for you this week. By inspirations and/or feelings of desperation you may feel ready to take risks and initiatives that you never thought you would. A dynamic learning curve is implied leading you to nurture latent resources and service skills. ‘Surrender simply to the demands of the moment.’

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)
The full moon energies will activate your ambitions this week. You may feel prompted to take risks that you would not otherwise. You yearn to be seen and heard somehow. You could present a passionate and powerful display of oratory to any audience present. Although you may not feel as confident as you would probably like, new responsibilities are on the rise requiring that you remain committed.

Last week’s New Moon in Scorpio is waxing to half this week and we will get a real feel of the dynamic embedded in that celestial seed. Some cycles are more straightforward while some are more complex, like this one. (Read all about it in my New Moon Newsletter. Want to register, send me an email, its free.) An urge to advance and gain valuable ground is present, yet deciphering just which way to go may be a question on many people’s minds. The changing social and economic climate is pushing us to innovate and adapt. On the streets, it is new modes of communication that we need and are challenged to invent. In the bigger picture, tuning-in to higher levels of consciousness feels important. At worst, this is creating confusion and perhaps some fear and defence. At best, people are beginning to awaken to a new dream and possibility. This could be frightening, especially to those who feel they control the status quo. Yet, the spirit is willing and dynamic and sometimes takes surprising and sudden turns, waiting for no one and favouring none over any other. This is the way of Scorpio where change and transformation are everyday realities.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

A good deal of zest and zeal is evident in your approach these days. You are interested in others and perhaps especially what they can offer. Your sense of responsibility is on the rise and you want all the help you can get. While a deeper spiritual seed is germinating within, it is not time to reveal its influence. Yet a new truth and reality is growing within. To whom and what you feel committed is a central question.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)

Passionate exchanges continue to characterize this cycle. Sharing and exchanging knowledge and ideas of all kinds is likely. Yet, you are serious about your focus as well. More interested in hard facts than theories, you are cautious about how much credence you give to any one perspective. There is power in numbers though and you may be happy with certain consensus convictions for now.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)

Purge the past and replace it with the new is a central theme these days. A regenerative and rejuvenating urge is guiding your focus. Whether it is your body, home, perception and/or lifestyle in general, you are in the mood to improve. You also want to exchange ideas and visions about the future. Strong convictions about the importance of individuality are on your radar. Spiritual truths are featured in your focus.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)

What is the gift you are seeking to claim? On the other side of some very real fears that have come to the fore is a gift of power. At its root is a theme of integrity, balance, justice and equality. With your creative passions running strong now, this is a good time to get a lot done. Some cycles are more productive than others and this is one of them. Be ready to take note as many ideas and insights are pouring in.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)

A fire fuelled with deep passions is roaring in your hearth. You are in a sporting mood yet you also are eager to get to the point in all communications. You feel attracted to engage yet repelled by soliloquies, so lead by example and share the stage. You are in the mood to learn these days and want to sharpen your wits and clarify your facts. Sometimes the details are more important, like now.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)

Stimulating old networks and making new connections as well is keeping you busy. You are determined to cover a lot of base. This includes some key changes and improvements close to home. The season may be late but you want to get as much done as you can before the weather cycle prevents you. Secure long term foundations and tend to an array of activities for balance now.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)

Knowing when enough is enough and when it is time to move on is ever wise and is on your mind now. Assessing all your resources and options is part of the plot. You are ready to climb a new mountain, but which one? Fortunately, your energy and enthusiasm levels are running high and you are in an adventurous mood. You may not know exactly what you believe in these days but you can appreciate the law of change.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

The Sun in our own Sign tends to activate a pioneering intention. Yet, you may feel that you are on slippery ground, or even stuck somehow. Sometimes it is simply a question of timing. Your ambitions are on the rise and you are willing to concentrate to get things done, yet old foundations are dissolving. The good news is that it is not what you did or did not do; it is simply the way of waning cycles.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

Working both behind the scenes and taking new leads is keeping you busy. Balancing assertion and passivity is the trick. How to get a lot done without much effort is a classic interest. Part of the answer is to engage the energy and talents of others. You may not feel like you are standing on solid ground these days, yet you feel strangely confident. Imagine you are riding big waves and are hidden in the curl.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

Who has the power, the resources, the means and/or the courage? You are on the search and anyone who seems to possess them all will gain your undivided attention. What has worked and what has not is on your mind. You want new tools. Balancing an empathetic approach, when dealing with others, and a good deal of personal initiative, will score big points. Review your options carefully before making commitments.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)

Some cycles are more conservative than others while some are crazy with unexpected change. Both are active themes for you now. As powers you once were sure you possessed are steadily dissolving, you are challenged to re-invent yourself. Something very special is being established in you – a realization of spiritual authority. You are in a complex of cycles; patience with your process is extra important.

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

You are in the mood to share and exchange ideas, insights, feelings and truths. Yet, you may not be sure just what you believe anymore. Old convictions hold less sway. You may feel more sceptical about various philosophies and movements. Since good scepticism implies keeping an open mind and avoiding conclusions that is your challenge. Exchanges of deep passions and truths could prove transformational.

Tip of the Week:
A variety of key Astrological events are active now. First, we have the New Moon in Libra. It occurred on October 7 at 11:44 am Pacific Time and at 14 Libra 24. Watching the themes of a New Moon unfold in our lives reveals the workings of Astrology. Of course, few do this as they do not know how. Learning basic Astrology is actually easy, useful and enriching. Sincere interest is mostly what is required. If you would like to learn the language of Astrology, let me know as I teach webinars that teach you how. The next one begins October 13. Another key cycle is a conjunction between Venus and Mars in Scorpio on October 9. Venus turns retrograde on October 8. This is a very potent aspect. It stands to at least manifest as passionate exchanges with strong sexual overtones. Venus retrograde increases the desire for material gain and/or physical stimulation. While Mars is well placed in Scorpio, Venus is generally not so and lends to an obsessive, secretive and potentially manipulative mode of behaviour. Chiron and Neptune are again exactly conjunct at 26 Aquarius and suggest a healing process underway on a mass scale. This is having an extra strong effect in the United States as 26 Aquarius is the position of the Moon in one of that country’s more important birth charts – yes there is more than one! Currently the Sun is conjunct Saturn which lends a more sober and serious tone. Good Astrology brings awareness that brings clarity and understanding to life’s complexities.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)
Stimulating dialogue and thoughts to gain insight about what you really want at this stage of your life is a central theme. A potential conflict includes wanting to know the motives and desires of others but not wanting them to probe you for your own. Such double standards rarely win votes. A growing sense of commitment to the future and the responsibilities implied is the main topic.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)
Creating a healthier lifestyle balance is easy in theory but can be more challenging in practice. For example, things that taste or feel good may not good for us. It is said that we will do more to avoid pain than pursue pleasure. So, associating pain to negative habits can be a good strategy to break them. So, getting clearer on what is and not good for us is a key to success with this strategy to moderate.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)
A wave of creative inspiration is washing in on your shores. The reality may be bitter sweet however as it is mixed with the complexities of major endings in your life in the bigger picture. The time has come to be committed to new levels and modes of freedom. This is an inside and out job. >From a spiritual perspective, even endings can be seen as gifts that strengthen and inspire.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)
Taking on new levels of responsibility is a current theme. Many changes brewing both at home and in your social/professional scene are making you focus. These will come to a fuller resolution by the early New Year. A new cycle concerning love, romance and sexuality will gain your attention, whether you are directly involved or not. For now, pay attention to both the details and the big picture.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)
A dynamic learning curve has begun for you. Psychological, spiritual, and scientific interests will gain your attention. How these all weave together may prove especially interesting. You will be busier with correspondences, errands and social activity. Meanwhile, clearing up confusion close to home in the more intimate and private areas of your life implies an important healing cycle.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)
Life is all about cooperation and this is an especially good attitude now. The time has come to build upon more solid foundations. These are linked to your professional, spiritual and creative areas of life. Your overall power potential is on the rise but you will probably have to work very diligently to rise to the next levels. For now, be willing to negotiate new terms then deliver more than is expected.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)
A serious and determined focus continues to lead you on. Whether by inspiration or desperation, you are moved to make some big changes in your life. If you do not realize this, take a closer and, if necessary, a harder look at what is going on in and around you. Your willingness to take initiatives to open new lines of communication to stimulate needed changes is important now.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)
Balancing inner work and working behind the scenes with outer assertions continues. You may feel ready to entertain new prospects. This trend will continue for several weeks. This is the time to plan and organize more than execute, even though you may feel impatient to get going. You will be better prepared to take more deliberate outer action in a few weeks. ‘Measure twice cut once’.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)
Who are your true friends? Such questions can prove extra important and this likely the case now. Ironically, those who care for us the most can give us the hardest time sometimes. What we need is not necessarily what we want. At best you are receiving the karma of diligent actions over the past few years. At the opposite extreme you may be in need of good friends more than ever.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)
You are at a high point and your stride is likely to be strong and determined. Dealings with significant others may be extra challenging these days, however. Since every person experiences life as though they are the center of it, it is common to take things personally. You may have at least a little patching up to do in the public relationships department and this is a good time to act on it.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)
You are in an expansive phase right now. Ambition backed by desire and perhaps need to advance to the next level somehow, is a major focus. Confidence for success is ever important and especially so now and over the next few months. If you think something is too good to be true it may be, but then you may be underestimating yourself as well. Read the fine print and affirm your worth.

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)
This is a time of letting go. Clearing the past or moving on from prior associations can be painful. Yet holding on to the past and fearing or resisting the prospects of new opportunities and relationships will also create pain. Your willingness to move on is extra important now. Accept endings and even apparent losses and stimulate new and better associations.

Tip of the Week:

Libra is the sign of balance. Woven into this theme is a riddle: the balance point is ever moving. From the cosmic to the molecular and everything in between, life is about movement. Paradoxically, even when we are apparently still there is movement in the flow of our mind and body functions, the planet in motion and so on are more aspects of this dynamic flux and flow. So, the key to balance is to tune-in and move with the processes of change. Call it keeping pace, moving on or attunement to life. As obvious as this may seem, there is a natural tendency to want to resist change as well. Sometimes it is a person and sometimes entire institutions and collectives of people resist the flow of change. In so doing, they become unbalanced and, by extension, cause imbalances in others. Consciously flowing with change means letting go of the past; this is often easier said than done. For humans resisting the flow of change is often a sign of ego centricity. We can also work with and help guide change and preserving some elements of the past has its merits. Yet staying balanced mostly means consciously tuning-in, yielding and creatively cooperating with the flow of change. Doing so is literally at the heart of what can be deemed ‘the art of life’. Sensitivity, discernment, intuition, vision and wisdom are some features of this art. Conversely, both resisting change and pushing too hard to cause change represent extremes that cause imbalances. These reactive tendencies are common daily occurrences. Addiction is another symptom of our lack of awareness and/or respect of this principle of balance. Create balance with variety, acceptance and respect for the law of change.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

Desires for more passion on relationship fronts continue to guide your focus. It is important that you be committed, disciplined in your focus and patient. Knowing in detail what you want will help. Take the time now to discern your priorities. Hesitation now could result in indecision and delay. Beware of cynicism leading to doubt yet do act with sober realism.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)

Creating a healthy balance in your overall lifestyle is now a central theme. Deciphering what is out of balance is a good place to begin. Take a creative approach and be willing to ask for and listen to the opinions of significant others. Security is likely to be a priority yet passion will rank high as well. Other key areas include quality of friendship and work satisfaction.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)

A strong sense of commitment to the future and to acting with a larger vision is rising. You are willing to work hard and give to the situation as necessary. Yet, your confidence levels may not be so high. There are probably others to consider and you are wise to share your thoughts and feeling with them. Simply accepting the reality of your situation will prove liberating.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)

A serious mood is upon you. Circumstances of late are giving you reason to make important decisions. These may be leading you to face fears. Others will not easily give in and your situation demands that you make hard choices. These probably constitute investments of time and money. The good news is that these will bring rewards. Take responsible action.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)

You have begun an important learning period. What to focus upon may be in question. Somehow you are meant to dig deeper, and get to core levels. Some form of change or renovation in the scope and quality of you knowledge is required. Work with these changes with aims to improve what you do. Take a realistic approach and eliminate idealistic notions that may be weakening your position.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)

The time has come in your life to build upon new foundations. This process has likely begun in spring. Now it is time for the next chapter. This will require that you entertain new possibilities and actually take realistic initiatives. Diversifying your focus and adding to your list of offerings may be necessary. Take a constructively critical approach and do what you feel you must to succeed.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)

You are in a determined mood. This will lead you into new territory. It may be a new attitude, focus, strategy or place altogether. Sometimes, all we have to do is change our mind and the rest will follow. A realistic assessment of your situation may be required. Perhaps you want to break away from old habits that are actually addictions. Set your sights to break free.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

Your ambitions are on the rise, again. As much as you would like to take deliberate action, it is also likely that you will get much done behind the scenes now as well. While following dreams is ideal, you may also have to make a more realistic assessment of your situation. Changes in your lifestyle in this regard are also likely. The time to act deliberately on this may only be in a few months. Prepare now!

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

Meeting new people and making new friends is a current theme. Renewing old friendships also applies. Some of these may be with family members. All the while, summoning the courage to clear away emotional blocks and attachments to security that no longer serve is part of the plot. Your willingness to listen well and keep and open mind will bring peace and harmony.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

You are at a high point and your strength and achievements are evident to many others. What obstacles you have had to overcome may be less evident however. Sometimes others pay process for our success. Some may be willing to forgive yet not all. So, now you must face new challenges. Some of these might seem quite complex. Honour your achievements and stand strong on your own feet.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)

Honouring the spiritual side of life is valuable and rewarding. However, it does have its tests as well. Faith, trust, patience, sacrifice, perseverance, vision and wisdom are both the price and the reward. How you define and orient your spirituality is up to you. Learning skills and acquiring tools and knowledge to purify and refine your focus is important now. Investigate the possibilities.

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

Shedding skins is part of life. These may be literal as in the ongoing exfoliation process, yet also psychological. Thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, and self-concepts and so on all represent ‘skins’. This natural process is a feature of our growth and evolution. Attunement and cooperation with this flow is a spiritual attribute; resistance is egoic, more painful and creates dulls sensitivities and intuitions. Cooperate consciously.

Tip of the Week:

Here in the northern hemisphere, this time of the Equinox marks the official end of summer and the beginning of the last season of the year. Interestingly, in the southern hemisphere, winter is over and spring season has begun. This can be quite confusing and even seem contradictory. What is equally strange is that even though it might seem natural to assume that people born in the southern hemisphere would reveal characteristics that are diametrically opposed to those of the sign that corresponds with the date verses the season, this is not the case. So, no matter where you were born in the world, the characteristics of the sign you were born under will shine through. The reasons for this are not easy to determine or explain. Consider the following hypothesis. One of the reasons may be that there is only one North Pole. In other words, even though people in the southern hemisphere are oriented towards the South Pole from the standpoint of hemispheric orientation, the entire magnetic orientation is determined by the pole star which is currently Polaris. (Astronomers say there are 3 other pole stars – Alpha Cephai, Vega and Alpha Draconis and these contribute to the Precession of the Equinoxes). Another consideration is that the month and the sign are archetypal. This means that the date lines used to divide the year into 12 strictly belong to the Zodiac Sign that is associated with that time, like September 22 to October 21 is Libra’s timeline. That Libra is the sign that is symbolic of this time also makes sense in that the sign of the weigh scale reveals a balance of hours of day and night. Although this mystery may remain unsolved, Astrology continues to work and transcends linear logic.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

A passionate surge backed by a romantic urge is for you to contend with now. If single, you may be on the hunt. Taking your love life to new levels and depths will remain strong for a couple of months yet. Patience with the process is ideal, especially in the shorter term as delays and restrictions are likely. The greater your sincerity to commit the more likely will be your success.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)

Sometimes it is simply too hot. It could be the water or the weather or the sauce or the sex. Okay, for some these don’t all belong in the same category. In any area of life, deciphering what is too much or too little is a common theme. Striking a healthy balance is ever ideal. Experience is the best teacher and you will get your share of it now. Sample before you commit big.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)

Now it is time to play. You have probably been busy working, healing and/or cleaning, perhaps inside and out. Well, you may have to continue to make sincere efforts but the heavier duties should be done, unless you have been neglectful. Now it is time to strengthen your resolve and maybe your constitution in another way. Give to the situation creatively.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)

Creating more beauty in your world is extra important to you now. Interior design is one option. Yet what you really want is more fun and play and perhaps more love and passion to color your world. Beyond romance and affection, the love you seek may have as much to do with power of some sort. Landing a dream job or getting that promotion could do it. Go for D: All of the above.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)

Balancing a busy schedule - places to go and people to see – with a strong urge to dive deep somehow should prove interesting. The time has come to shake it up! Changes close to home are likely and could include renovations. There is an edgy element at play here and directing it well so nobody gets hurt may require extra attention.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)

The time has come to build upon new foundations somehow. Experiences of late will lead you to decipher your priorities. With your energy levels running higher than usual, this could prove to be an eventful period. With clear intentions backed by organization and steady determination you could advance to the next level financially. Commit to strengthening your power potential.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)

The Sun in your sign indicates that it is time to take some new initiatives. You may feel very serious and determined. Financial concerns and/or considerations are main interests. These may be linked to former or current partners. You know you want to realize change and have likely already initiated the process. Follow through patiently, it could take a while yet.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

Taking a hiatus verses taking the initiative to explore new territory may be in conflict. How can you achieve both? This is where doing work behind the scenes can prove very satisfying. Sometimes we can delegate our responsibilities to others and get a lot done. Take an inventive approach to do more than you can alone and get some rest all the while.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

Meeting new people and making new friends is on the airwaves now. Some of these could well be business related. Your practical aspirations are peaking. Becoming a member or attending clubs could prove extra timely and satisfying too. To succeed you may have to face some fears. Aim for scope now verses depth, you can deepen relations later.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

You have likely ascended to a peak point on your journey. Getting there is one thing, staying there is another and gracefully descending yet another. None of these diminish the achievement, but the journey continues. A passionate push to breach more barriers is already present. What do you want to do next and with whom? Seek the next cast of worthy players.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)

Learning how to play more and work less sounds worthwhile. Seeing your job as a game you play could work. These and other such questions reveal a soul searching process. Researching is another part of the plot. Trust that the deeper purpose that you are seeking will reveal itself soon. Imagine that soon means the New Year. How can you enjoy the journey in the meantime?

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

Severing old ties so you have more time and energy to devote to new ones is a central theme now. Many thoughts and reflections about your life are featured. Who and what do you love? Where do you want to go from here? Deep changes are provoking these thoughts and vice versa. The result of these will be linked to new dreams and visions. Accept your lessons now, they will bring rewards.

Assimilation and digestion are important Virgo themes. This is true of the intake of any experience, knowledge, information and, of course, food… If what we consume is artificial or excessive the result is often not only waste, but possibly even poison. Sadly, despite all the abundance in our world, poison is everywhere in the marketplace. Food that is ‘dead’ means it has no nutrient value and is poison. The chemicals and toxic mixes thereof in so many of the products we consume as food and, ironically, those we consume to maintain hygiene, health and beauty and even what we deem medicine are forms of poison. The basic rule is that the less natural a product is, the more poisonous it probably is. The knowledge is out there, yet many remain resistant, unaware, uninterested and influenced by marketing. Moderation in all things means that we can actually personally afford to consume some amount of poison as our body can handle some, but how much? Whether we can collectively afford it due to the environmental impact is another question. Our polluted rivers and oceans alone tell us we cannot afford it any longer. These are some of the most important questions and challenges of our time. Virgo says cultivate your higher taste, learn about what is toxic and consume what is natural for the sake of self and all.
P.S. Autumn Equinox is on September 22 and coincides with the Harvest Full Moon.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)
As your desires deepen your determination to achieve them is rising. Meanwhile, your sense of responsibility is growing. This will push you to act with full integrity. You may sense that whatever you decide, there is no easy out. Commitment backed by a resolve to persevere over the long term will bring rewards, but you will have to earn them.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)
Creating a greater degree of balance in your life will become especially apparent this week. The push may well come from your significant other. Where do you think the imbalance is? If you ask with sincerity you will likely get some good answers. Perhaps you need to socialize more or perhaps less. Somehow, it may be time to make some needed changes.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)
This is ‘last call’ to clear the clutter somehow. Doing so will free you to pay closer attention to your ‘love life’. It may be who you love or perhaps what, maybe both. What you love implies activities, hobbies, adventure, travel and so on. Mixing the two might mean a romantic getaway or a venture to find romance. Do your homework to play soon without guilt, anxiety or inhibition.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)
Sometimes it is more important to pay attention to the details, like now. Brain storming for ideas, taking notes and outlining a draft or plan are all good ways to clarify visions and ground intentions. A passionate push to make meaningful connections may mean romance or at least indicate exciting ideals you want to realize. Look for others of like mind yet take the initiative to activate deals and plans.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)
Planning and building foundations is part of the game of life. Knowledge is ever required as well and you are feeling extra thirsty in this regard these days. Advancing to the next level sometimes requires that we clean, renovate, and somehow improve existing foundations. Be grateful for your passions and be willing to nurture them reveal their greater scope and deeper depths.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)
Taking pioneering strides is likely now. This implies breaking away form the usual, even the tried and true. Once we have learned what we need from something, it is important to move on. Both our brain and our soul need new input and adventure to remain fresh, interested and vital. Avoid the trap of complacency; it is the illusion of ego and there is no security in it actually. Venture forth!

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)
If you have not allowed for rest and retreat this may be your last chance for a while. You can be steadily productive in this state, especially if you allow your dreams and imagination to work for you. Just be willing to take note of the inspirations coming in. Set intentions to take action on them soon, but not quite yet. Allow yourself to receive ideas, insights and inspirations coming from source.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)
What does it mean to be your own best friend? Choosing to like and love and give your self the benefit of the doubt are good answers. Understand that manipulating people or situations is the enemy of self and others. The joy of letting go and letting God means willingly surrendering to a natural flow and watching as the magic of life leads you to authentic action.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)
It is said the greatest leader is the greatest servant. This is the sort of wisdom you especially are meant to learn in this lifetime. Wanting for little yet being willing to do anything and discovering that where there is a will there is a way is the path to the discovery of many skills and talents. This does not mean be anything to anyone, rather it implies be everything your spirit guides you to be. Heed your heart.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)
“Life is a daring adventure or nothing at all!’ Such wise words are the voice of the soul. The ego naturally seeks security, yet at what price? True security is transcendental yet many make the mistake of forsaking heaven for earth. Striking the balance between the necessities and desires of the material world and focusing to fulfill the mandates of our spirit means having all we need here and a secure place in the afterlife.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)
Loosening the grip of what we interpret as needs is a very liberating process. Observing how we convince ourselves of what we need is a first step. Often our interpretations stem from the influence of others. ‘The lighter we travel the freer we are’, is an old saying. If this is true, few are very free in the world at this time in history. Take a break from your mind, your desires and habits to feel cleaner, lighter and freer.

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)
Many thoughts about relationships, love and romance are on your mind. Big changes are underway in this important area of life. Beyond outer connections, the primary relationship is ever with one’s own body mind, heart and soul and requires your attention as well. Either way, reasons to analyze and/or opportunities to celebrate love and passion, relationship and even marriage are likely now.
