A Silver Celebration-Anniversary Concert

The Okanagan Festival Singers will perform three celebratory works: Handel’s “Dixit Dominus”, Hayden’s “Lord Nelson Mass”, and “Zadok the Priest” from the Coronation Mass.
OFS will be accompanied by a full Baroque-style orchestra with Concertmaster, Nancy DiNovo and soloists, including Nancy Washeim.
The concert will include an audience reception plus a sentimental journey through the choir’s 25 year history.

During Heritage week (February 20th to February 26th) the Okanagan Heritage Museum will be hosting a scavenger hunt for kids of all ages! Come in and see our display of artefacts which demonstrate how Okanagan settlers used electricity throughout their everyday lives. Complete our scavenger hunt by searching through our exhibits for some �powerful� artefacts and enter to win a genuine wild grizzly bear bear paw print from Northpaw Designs Canada! I first became a Buddhist monk in 1977, and have practiced in both the Theravadin (which came here from Thailand) and Tibetan traditions. I have the title of “lama”, or teacher, as a result of having completed a three‐and‐a‐half‐year retreat (1982‐1985) under the guidance of Kalu Rinpoche, one of the Dalai Lama’s teachers.
